What a Nice relaxing evening....

Stardate May 15, 2018
All my photos are on my tablet - so I will post separately in a moment.
Had a very nice day today - we drove the rest of the Cabot Trail - as far as Green Cove.  We took the shortest hike EVER (one city block - .1 miles or .2 KM) out to a very windy point.  We did see a lot of geology - although (as far as my eye can tell) no fossils.
We had hoped to stop at a park on the western side of Cape Breton, on our trip up the island on Sunday but there was a bridge washed out and we had to stick to the main highway - sorry Jim
While we are ever vigilant for fossils - there have been few opportunities to find them.  And evidently it is illegal to remove rocks from Highlands Park.  Good thing we did not do THAT.....
On our return trip we stopped at many gift shops (OH BOY!) and improved the economy of Eastern Canada.
It was a HOT day today - with temperatures in the 70's although this evening it cooled down and they might actually have rain tonight.
Since we are here ahead of the regular tourist season a lot of the gift stores were still closed (this is better on the pocketbook anyway).  We did get a stop at the Clucking Chicken (or maybe the Clucking Hen) Bakery where we bought Butter Tarts and other yummy things for our afternoon snack.
Photos in the next post....
