The continuation of the Exciting Cross Canada Adventure….

Stardate May 7, 2018 – the time is unknown

It is later in the day and we have had a lovely lunch of grilled salmon on a bed of lettuce…..yum.
We are very far off schedule – we were supposed to be in Jasper this afternoon and now it looks like sometime around 10pm.  We were scheduled to get into Edmonton tonight and now it will be tomorrow morning.  We are not too stressed out about this – we have an extra day built into our schedule with an overnight in Montreal that might get canceled.  OH WELL.
So – we have very interesting rooms on this train.  Mom and dad have the deluxe room with about 5 feet of space between the bunk and the far wall.  Birgit and I are in the adjoining room and I think there are 15 inches between the bunk and the wall.  (see photos below).  Today our room attendant asked if we wanted to combine our 2 rooms – and she created a miracle!  Our beds went away (two were raised into the ceiling and 2 went into the wall) and now we had a very large sitting room with 4 lounge chairs.
Okay – wildlife sightings have been few and far between.  There were Big Horn sheep outside the left side of the train but I did not see them.  I did see a dead beaver along the tracks this morning.  We are on the lookout.
Here are some train photos for you:
