Somewhere in Greece in the Penopelese,

Dear Gentle Readers

We have had a whirlwind three days and perhaps a break is coming up.  I am not the minder of the schedule... I am just going with the flow.
We left Delphi (they spell it Delfi here) early this morning and have had a day mostly on the bus, but it was a day of food.  We stopped at a lovely bakery this morning, and we had a lovely trout lunch too.  Tonight it is folk dancing and then another dinner.
The other day in Athens we had FABULOUS eggplant cups filled with fava bean custard and topped with carmalized onions and that was just the appetizer!  The main meal was claypot baked lamb shank with potatoes topped with a lovely lemon custard sauce.  Last night dinner was a traditional meal with a bean vegetable soup, a spinach salad and then dolomitas made with cabbage leaves instead of grape leaves.  This was also topped with a lemon sauce.....
