This tiny village is Kastania, hidden in a high mountain gorge. The war tower still stands and so do multiple Byzantine era churches. It’s all a hike from the bottom but entirely worth it. The largest church, at the top of the town is St Peter's and I tucked in a couple pics. Bult in the 12th Century it has amazing frescoes.
Of value is to note that the word church is often a tiny chapel like structure which would fit 6 people if one is the priest. The church of St John is one of those (pic included). And the stylish woman in white is Maria, our captain who is amazing.
