Well we have arrived!
Here I lie in the first real bed in days, after a delicious meal and it is WONDERFUL.
Today I awoke after a grand total of 3 hours sleeping. Mother was also exhausted since she had been up all night thanks to an extremely LOUD sleeper. We sat in the airport in Johannesburg and got geocaches (ugh) and rare regional Pokémon (yay!) and then crammed into another small plane for our final leg of the journey. After getting through the final security checkpoints we were here!
Mom and I got SIM cards so we can use the internet here in Namibia and we all piled into the van. I know both my mother and Karen want to do posts about the drive and the food we ate but honestly it was a lovely evening. I tuned out mom and Karen peppering our driver with questions, and just looked at the landscape. A baboon wandered across the highway but we were going very fast so I didn’t get a great picture.
As the sun sets on our first day here, and I listen to the cows that live on the ranch we are staying in, I am really grateful to be here.
