Karen and Jim (or Jim and I) have arrived in Seattle successfully.
We are NOT YET certain we have downloaded every app or logged into every possible web site to get clearance for our trip - but we are hopefull.
Jim and Karen had 2 COVID tests today - one at Klawock at Alecia Roberts (the correct PCR test but they send the swabs to Sitka and the weather was bad today - so no results yet)
Second COVID test in Ketchikan airport - the WRONG test to get into the country of Namibia, BUT a test that will allow us to get onto the British Airways flight tomorrow. This was the Rapid NAAT test and of course we are NEGATIVE. (well - we have hardly seen anyone in the past month as we isolate)
We will have the FINAL Covid test tomorrow - in the driveway - they are coming to West Seattle! This test will be the correct test for Namibia, but the results may not be in time for the British Airways departure..... Here is the COVID tester in Klawock. It was cold and blowing and raining sideways.
